The Celtic Knot Is Teaming Up With Warm Up America! Foundation

The Celtic Knot has joined forces with Warm Up America! to crochet and knit to blankets to donate to local nursing homes, shelters, hospitals, daycare facilities & more.

How TO HELP Warm Up America!

If you want to help us Warm Up America! simply start knitting or crocheting.

Volunteers are asked to donate 7″ x 9″ rectangle out of worsted weight, washable yarn. These can be any stitch or pattern as long as they are 7” x 9” rectangle. Once completed, they can be dropped off at The Celtic Knot during their hours of operation or brought to meetings and turned in. The Celtic Knot will be offering a 10% off store coupon for every 4 squares donated by an individual to say “Thank you for your support.”

When enough rectangles have been donated volunteers will sew them together and decide on a location for donation.

If volunteers have an interest in making an entire afghan, knit or crochet the afghan to any size or pattern you wish. There is a need, for instance, for baby afghans and lap throws which are much smaller than the standard Warm Up America! afghan.

Our chapter of Warm Up America! will meet the last Wednesday of every month at 6pm. If you would like to start a group meeting at another time please contact Terry
at or contact The Celtic Knot.
